Plastic Coatings Ltd have been a leading finishing supplier to the Construction and Telecom market for many years and understand the demanding requirements of the industry.

Typically components will be exposed outdoors for a considerable amount of time and have to withstand severe environmental conditions including extremes of temperature, UV light, salt laden atmosphere, and acid rain.

This is where Thermoplastic Polymers designed for such requirements outperform other finishes like plating and galvanising. Thermoplastic Polymers are also available in a range of colours unlike some of the more traditional protections.

The unique properties of thermoplastic materials offer the customer an opportunity to work the coating material in later operations. There are several applications where the applied coating is re-heated in the customer process and used a bonding agent for other materials and components to be robustly attached to the originally coated item. This is particularly useful for fall arrest or ventilation components where a waterproof seal to a roofing membrane is required.

In addition to corrosion resistance and UV resistance, there is a growing need for technically capable coatings that can offer characteristics such as low/Anti flammability, Self-Extinguishing, low smoke and fume, electrical insulation and even anti-graffiti.

Using our brand new, bespoke Large Parts Coating facility, Plastic Coatings Ltd can handle items up to 6m long. Our new box oven measures 6m long x 3m high x 4m wide, we have complimentary treatment facilities that allow us to treat most items appropriately for their intended use without needing to involve a sub-contractor. Weight of the item to be coated is generally not a problem as we have an array of lifting equipment available to us on site at PCL, if our equipment is not suitable we can hire plant locally and at fairly short notice to support individual projects.

Plastic Coatings also specialises in the manufacture of a range of Telecommunication industry clamps (6A, 10, 10A, 36's) to secure Telecommunication dropwires to all pole types. These clamps are used worldwide for a range of overhead Copper, Fibre and hybrid cable clamping solutions.

Plastic Coatings Ltd have been manufacturing and supplying these dropwire clamps directly to the industry for over 30 years. Our customers include world leaders British Telecom & Openreach to whom we are the sole supplier of these items.
