Plastic Coatings Ltd Win Large Fastener Coating Contract
Plastic Coatings have been selected to strip and re-coat a large batch of non-conforming coating that has come in from overseas.
The correct coating system would have been Xylan 1070 or 1424; however an unknown ‘paint’ has been badly applied. This has left our customer in a difficult position and in need of a supplier that can react quickly and reliably to support the now tight installation deadline.
Plastic Coatings official ‘Quality Approved Applicator’ (QAC) status means that we can be trusted to apply the Xylan 1070 according to the material manufacturer’s recommendations and current best practice. The Whitford QAC status is audited annually by a technical team from Whitfords Laboratory in Runcorn. The annual audit is robust in verifying material storage conditions, preparation procedures, coating application controls, inspection and test techniques and also resulting salt spray (SST, NSS – ASTM B117) resistance.
