We are extremely proud of our history here at Plastic Coatings Ltd, especially as we mark our 70th year supporting UK businesses in 2022!
Back in December 1952, 'Plastic Coatings' was established initially as 'Durable Coatings' working out of a 'Nissen hut' in Friary Square, Guildford, Surrey. The purpose of this company was to add durability and longevity to products produced by other local companies. The company was so successful that by the 1970's we had sites across the UK and we had a sister company manufacturing coating materials for us to apply.
We're now back to a single site, located in Kingswinford, West Midlands and we still offer one of the widest ranges of subcontract finishes and coatings in the UK. The coating material manufacturing part of the business was so successful it was sold to Axalta in 2017 and continues to provide world class coating materials across the world.
The Management Team at PCL decided that as part of marking this significant anniversary year we would have a late summer 'team lunch', recognising just how important the people of Plastic Coatings Ltd have been in securing our success over the years. This lunch was supported wonderfully by 'The Starchip Enterprise' (Based in Evesham and can be found on facebook) who were on hand to serve the team fish and chips, we even managed to get some of our retirees to come back and reminisce with us! It's fair to say that everyone had a great time and enjoyed the high-quality food on offer from the guys at Starchip Enterprise.
